| بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ | |
| إِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ الْأَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَا (١)When the earth is shaken to her (utmost) convulsion, | 99:1 |
| وَأَخْرَجَتِ الْأَرْضُ أَثْقَالَهَا (٢)And the earth throws up her burdens (from within), | 99:2 |
| وَقَالَ الْإِنْسَانُ مَا لَهَا (٣)And man cries (distressed): 'What is the matter with her?'- | 99:3 |
| يَوْمَئِذٍ تُحَدِّثُ أَخْبَارَهَا (٤)On that Day will she declare her tidings: | 99:4 |
| بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوْحَىٰ لَهَا (٥)For that thy Lord will have given her inspiration. | 99:5 |
| يَوْمَئِذٍ يَصْدُرُ النَّاسُ أَشْتَاتًا لِيُرَوْا أَعْمَالَهُمْ (٦)On that Day will men proceed in companies sorted out, to be shown the deeds that they (had done). | 99:6 |
| فَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَرَهُ (٧)Then shall anyone who has done an atom's weight of good, see it! | 99:7 |
| وَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَرَهُ (٨)And anyone who has done an atom's weight of evil, shall see it. | 99:8 |
